Chess

After finishing my Heroes of Might and Magic 2 playthrough, I first intended to start playing Leisure Suit Larry - Lounge Lizards, because I never finished it and I am getting really thirsty for good adventure games. Then after watching some Bloodborne trailers, I was almost certain that I will be playing Dark Souls again, since it plays very similar to Bloodborne and at the same time I am not sure if I will ever be able to play Bloodborne on a PC. Damn Playstation 4 exclusives! In the end however, I ended up getting addicted to playing Chess.

Now, I know some people think that Chess barely qualifies for a video game, because it orginated as a board game and you can play it without electronical devices, but I really don't care about definitions. Chess is one of the most fun, intelligent and addictive startegy games I have ever played in my life. Period. That is why I installed the game on my smartphone and have been playing it at almost every opportunity I get. I even installed the "battle version" on my PC with animated fantasy figures, which I intend to play through in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately I am not very good at it and I keep losing to the computer - even when I lower the difficulty to 1/10. Chess is the type of game which is very easy to learn, but it requires a lot of practice to actually become good at it, so I am trying to learn some basic tactics by watching YouTube videos and practicing with my collegues. Besides, I think it is actually time to learn how to play this damn game and save myself from future embarrassments when challenged by a friend.
